The speech reinforced the film`s point of view and allowed Reese Witherspoon`s acting skills to shine in legally blonde`s perfect conclusion. “The first ending was Elle and Vivian in Hawaii in beach chairs, drinking margaritas and holding hands,” Cauffiel explained. “The insinuation was that they were either best friends or that they had met romantically.” The film debuted on July 2, 2003 with generally negative reviews from critics. Nevertheless, it was a box office success and grossed $125 million worldwide. “If it ain`t broke, don`t fix it” could have been the slogan of Legally Blonde 2. This style-conscious suite never follows in the footsteps of its predecessor (Legally Blonde).
