Jacob Malby works as a legal researcher at Hearsay and is the resident technician (“Did you try to turn it off and then on again?”). He is also studying a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Communications and Media at the University of Wollongong. When not interviewing people on Hearsay, David is co-founder and chief operating officer at Lext Australia, an Australian legal technology startup (and Hearsay`s parent company). Prior to founding Lext, he practised as a lawyer at the NSW Bar and as a lawyer in law firms large and small. David is a former president of NSW Young Lawyers and a former city councillor for the Law Society of NSW. In addition to his LLB, David completed his MBA at the UNSW Graduate School of Management. We exist to support our clients and provide legal solutions that value and reflect the economic realities and challenges they face. This is achieved by attracting the right people with the right skills and attitudes As a Reformed Litigator, he worked before Hearsay in a knowledge role in mergers and acquisitions at a world-class Australian firm and as a legal writer at one of the world`s largest legal publishers. Hearsay is created by a team of lawyers and legal advisors. Below are the team profiles. Ross Davis has an unhealthy obsession with following the latest legal news and a nose for producing engaging content. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology, Government and International Relations) and a Doctor of Laws from the University of Sydney. But Nic isn`t quite trapped in science, her day-to-day work leading financial services firm Assured Legal Solutions in Sydney`s CBD, which she co-founded.

And did we mention that she is also an exceptionally talented bankrupt lawyer? Well, it is. Jacob`s hobbies include playing football, watching football, and playing football video games (i.e. a variety of interests…). He also enjoys listening to humorous podcasts while driving. Jacob has a keen interest in creating audio and video content. He enjoys working with technology, whether it`s developing software, programming robots, or editing photos and videos. He also enjoys learning and discussing both the law and its relationship to politics. Far from hearsay, Ross is a tragic tennis player and an avid runner (sometimes barefoot) and can often be found on the sidewalk to the sound of melodies and podcasts in Sydney and the surrounding area. David Turner has a knack for teasing people`s stories, so it`s no wonder he`s Hearsay`s host. At Assure, we are happy to share news from our team and company as well as interesting industry updates with our employees. Below is a selection of our latest features. We invite you to follow us on LinkedIn to see what we all do.

Nic holds an EMBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management, a double Bachelor of Arts and Law and a Master of Laws from the University of Wollongong, she also teaches at the Law School of her alma mater. When Nic is not teaching, studying, lawyer and manager, planning and scheduling who to interview next on Hearsay. She also enjoys eating chocolate, reading, cooking (you could forever talk about her rocky path) and, you guessed it, listening to podcasts. David spends his little time tinkering with DIY projects and working on computer programming projects.
